“Let the little children come to me…”
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
(Matthew 19:14)
During a weekend mass (depending on rostered volunteers) a parish volunteer invites the children to participate in Children’s Liturgy. During this time – after the entrance hymn until after the Gospel homily – the children unpack the Gospel to help them understand the message of God. The children do this through prayer, activities, and discussion with the Children’s Liturgy Leader. The activities can range from colouring in sheets, templates, crafts, hands on examples and games.
We are always looking for volunteers to help lead Children’s Liturgy. So, if you think you would like to take up this opportunity or to come watch and experience a Children’s Liturgy session, please contact the parish office.
