Vision Statement
Inspired by the words of St Theresa of Avila we aim to be the Body of Christ for the people of South Tuggeranong and beyond.
‘Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body’.
Mission Statement
We gather and draw strength to be the Body of Christ from the Word, the Eucharist, and each other. As sacramental people, through word and action, we share what we have received with those we encounter. We reach out and open our eyes and hearts to the poor and the marginalized.
As Corpus Christi Parish we commit to:
- facilitating and promoting the reception of the sacraments instituted by Christ.
- upholding the Church’s teaching on the common good, the inherent dignity of human life and respect for the whole of creation.
- acknowledging that we gather on the land of the Ngunnawal people and pay respect to their elders past and present and to the memory of their ancestors. We also extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in our community.
- striving to be a welcoming, caring and inclusive faith community.
- providing meaningful opportunities for prayer, reflection, and faith formation.
- maintaining strong relationships with the communities in our Catholic schools and the Parish School of Religion
- reaching out to the wider community, including the housebound and those in aged care facilities.
- promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable people and protecting them from harm.

PARISH ASSEMBLY 2024
Many thanks to those who attended last Saturday’s second phase of the parish assembly. The feedback from the day has been overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding the presentation by Dr Trudy Dantis and the opportunity to explore the five themes that have emerged as the areas for our parish to focus on.
