Safeguarding

Parish Safeguarding Commitment:

Corpus Christi Parish is committed to safeguarding and upholding the dignity and rights of all our children and vulnerable people. We seek to empower children, their families and carers, and vulnerable people, to have a say, to be listened to, and to be protected. This approach is at the centre of all our thinking and action.

Our Parish Safeguarding Officers are Anne Gowen & Kristy Everding. If you have any issues, concerns or questions regarding safeguarding, protection of children and/or vulnerable people, or requirements for working with children and/or vulnerable people please email:

The National Code of Conduct

A national code of conduct has been released by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference for people ministering in Catholic dioceses around Australia.

The code of conduct applies the overarching framework of Our Common Mission, which was approved in November 2022. You can find out more information here: www.cgcatholic.org.au

The Archdiocesan Child Protection Code of Conduct (CPCC) is compulsory for all volunteers, irrespective of their volunteer role. This is to ensure all volunteers are understanding of our role in protecting children. The latest Code can be read here: 2020_CP_Code of Conduct
